Caladenia carnea

(Pink Fingers)

Found flowering along the side of a track in spring, this orchid appears not to grow in colonies. It is deciduous, and produces a very thin, wiry, green, hairy flower stem up to 25cm tall emerging from a single long, thin, inconspicuous leaf (15cm x 4mm). The flower is 20-30mm across.
