MEPA Strategic Weed Management Project

For the last few decades MEPA has taken active measures to control weeds on the Mountain through volunteer work. In 2006, we commenced a partnership with agencies and Councils responsible for land management in the area and, with their assistance through grants, have been employing contractors who work alongside volunteers to promote and maintain healthy bushland in our area. To date, over $800,000 has been spent through this Partnership on weed control, with outstanding results – see the latest Report below.

The latest Annual Report can be viewed here.

We thank our partners who provide ongoing funding and/or support.

The project was proudly supported by the Lord Mayor's Community Sustainability and Environmental Grants Program – Environmental Grants.
