Erythrorchis cassythoides

(Climbing Orchid)

 
This saprophytic orchid is found in the drier lower areas of the D'Aguilar Range. The plant emerges in spring, with aerial flower stems typically climbing on trees (e.g. Ironbark) to a couple of meters up the trunk. 

 

Pollinated by small native bees.
