Pterostylis nutans

(Nodding Greenhood)

Usually growing in colonies, this deciduous terrestrial orchid occurs in local forests, usually in well-drained, moist sites. When fertile, it produces a slender, green flower stem up to 30cm tall emerging from a rosette of small, dark green leaves. The flower is about 25mm across.
