Plectorrhiza tridentata (Tangle Orchid)

Overhanging the moist creek lines and gullies, this orchid hangs by a few long roots from a twig or branch to which they are attached. The rest of the plant, including numerous other roots and the main stem of the plant, hangs suspended in the shady, humid environment.

The tiny flowers are only about 10mm across and perfumed, but its pollinators are said to be unknown.
